There was a Corporate Management Meeting in the Xinji area of the city of Shijiazhuang, on March 22, to try to get some lessons from the Hebei Keeper Chemical Industries Co, which had a explosion in its chemical factory in Hebei province’s Zhaoxian county, on Feb 28, which killed 25 people and injured 46.
It drew more than 200 people, including officials of Hebei’s Industry and Information Technology Dept, the Hebei Work Safety Administration, the heads of municipal, county, and district governments, and entrepreneurs from 51 companies in the chemical business.
In addressing the meeting, the deputy mayor of Shijiazhuang, Liu Mingxua, emphasized the need for taking a lesson from the Hebei Keeper accident and the safe-production experience of Chemical Fertilizer Co.to guarantee safer production in the chemical industry.
The meeting was accompanied by an Exhibition of a Model Safe-Process Production Enterprise and participants were given a tour of the Hebei Xinji Chemical Group’s Chemical Fertilizer Co. The manager of the model company spoke to the group about his experience in the safe-production process.
